Granny's pictures and documents

Hiand welcome everyone at Granny's pictures. Guess many of us have lots of old (or more recent) pictures (or documents) we're using for many different profiles or projects. Recently I thought it was time to finally edit and add some pictures and info into my own Bio, almost immediately after I edited my Bio, I received a message from a sweet fellow genealogist, that the pictures I added, well, they were visible to me, but everyone else just was watching a few boring lines of txt , saying these were my protected images. He had experienced the same thing after editing his Bio and it took him quite a while to figure this out (he was the only one able to see the pictures), so I really was very lucky he took the time to notify me,otherwise, if no one notifies you about this fact, it could take months to finally discover no one but yourself can see these images. He told me the solution was to make an open free space for the images you want to use and so here it is. So a very special thanks here for you David for your help and tips :) and for everyone, 'Granny's space' is an open free space page, if you also need some free space and don't feel like creating a free space/page yourself, feel free to add the pictures or documents you want to share or use right here. The picture above, well this is my great great grand mother Mattje Martsen Scholte next to her house, her husband and probably her adult sons in front of it, this was a traditional so called 'Spitkeet'('Spit shack')[1]in Opende,Friesland. People had to build it in one day(24 h) and than they would be the rightful owners of that piece of Land and the house, the little shed probably was a 'hen house', because of the mostly large families and because they were not allowed to expand the house once it was build, people built 'hen houses', the only way to 'expand' and create more room for either themselves or some of the many children. This picture has made it to a Fries newspaper in Holland, the picture went missing and for many years we have been searching in our'huge' family for it. Finally after a long search we received a copy by mail from 'Stichting Historische Kring Opende' from Mr. Jan Babois , so a special thank you for these great genealogists/historians from Friesland also[2]

Should anyone find material here that could possibly be construed as a violation of part of the Honor Code, please notify me immediately!

Some contents (scrollboxes) are added already, feel free to use, add or adjust a content (scrollbox) if you need one, just remember this is a public /open space/page, so it's public and free for everyone to see, share and use, (that is if they signed the Wiki Honor code), so think of privacy and copyright, and only add pictures/documents free of copyright and with no privacy issues ! Just upload your pictures or documents name them (what category you'd like to see them placed) and I'll add them if you like or if you don't want to see them placed in any box just upload and they can be found in images, of course if you know how to, you can add them in the boxes yourself. Upload image, name the image person name and/or category ,scroll down, copy the upper link from: 'use image inside text' and paste it between the 'Div style lines', than preview and if it's ok , save changes, if not just don't save. Of course if pictures already were uploaded and used at a(open/public!) profile, just copy the link from that profile and paste it here, you don't need to upload already existing and used pictures again, greets, enjoy and, Good luck !
